The Catana 42 is well regarded for its combination of sailing performance, offshore capability and comfortable cruising accommodation. This 2011 example presents an opportunity to secure a capable performance cruising catamaran with an impressive inventory of onboard equipment. Designed by Christophe Barreau and built by Catana Catamarans, the Catana 42 features GRP construction, daggerboards and twin helm stations. With an overall length of 12.80m and a generous 6.9m beam, she offers a spacious three-cabin layout with accommodation for six. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D1-30 diesel engines, she is equipped with a comprehensive range of cruising equipment, including Garmin navigation electronics, Victron inverter/charger, extensive solar capacity, Watt & Sea hydro generator and a Spectra watermaker. Her sailing inventory includes a square-top mainsail, headsail, 140m² spinnaker and 90m² screecher/gennaker. The stainless steel standing rigging was replaced in 2023, and the deck is fitted with electric Harken primary winches.
